Order updates

Order updates your customers actually read

Order updates on WhatsApp tell your customer what is happening with their purchase, automatically: a confirmation the moment the order is placed, a shipped notice with the tracking link, and a delivered notice at the door. Each update is a separate toggle, goes out in the customer's language, and lands in the one app they check all day, so 'where is my order?' messages stop before they start.

The journey, covered

  • Order confirmation. Instant reassurance that the order went through, with the items and total. This is the message that stops the duplicate order five minutes later.
  • Shipped, with tracking. The moment you fulfill, the customer gets the tracking link in chat, where they can find it again without searching their email.
  • Delivered. Closes the loop, invites a reply, and leaves the thread one message away from the next purchase.
  • COD confirmation. Cash-on-delivery orders get Confirm and Cancel buttons before dispatch. Details here.

Why WhatsApp instead of email or SMS

Order emails fight spam filters and promotions tabs; SMS is a dead end with no photos, no thread, and per-message fees. A WhatsApp update lands in an app the customer already checks constantly, keeps the whole order history in one thread, and can be replied to.

That last part changes support: when an update opens a conversation, the AI assistant answers it. The customer who replies "can you deliver after 6pm?" gets an instant answer instead of a ticket, and the one who asks "does it come in black?" gets shown the product, which is how an order update quietly becomes the next sale.

Under your control

Each update type is its own toggle, off until you enable it. Messages are sent through Meta's official WhatsApp Business API from your own number, logged word for word in your dashboard, and never sent twice for the same event, even when your store's systems retry.

Order update questions

Which updates are sent, exactly?+

Three, each with its own toggle: order confirmation when the order is placed, a shipped notice with the tracking link when you fulfill it, and a delivered notice. COD orders additionally get the confirmation request with Confirm and Cancel buttons.

Do customers need to opt in?+

Updates go to customers who gave their number with the order or were already chatting with your store on WhatsApp. They are transactional messages about the customer's own purchase, not marketing, and every message respects Meta's messaging rules.

What if the customer replies to an update?+

That is the best part: the update opens a conversation, and the AI answers. "Can you deliver after 6pm?" or "can I add one more item?" gets a real response instead of a dead no-reply inbox.

Can I send updates without the AI selling?+

Yes. Every capability is a separate toggle, so you can run order updates only, and switch the selling agent or recovery on later when you are comfortable.

Every order, narrated automatically

Turn on order updates in one toggle and retire your 'where is my order?' inbox.
