A note on fairness: the two meters are different units, so the tiers are not like-for-like. The 10x gap holds at the entry tier and narrows above it. What does compare directly is predictability: with metered AI replies, a busy month raises the bill; with flat conversation tiers, it does not. An active store can reach that cap quickly, because one customer conversation takes many AI replies. That is the structural difference to conversation pricing, where a whole chat session counts once no matter how many messages the AI sends.

By the public evidence, yes. The AI genuinely sells with the catalog connected rather than answering FAQs, and it ships mature outbound automations. One correction to what this page said in July 2026: we described that as rare. It is no longer. Zoko, Interakt, BiteSpeed and a field of newer Shopify apps including Zipchat, bitChat, Lixsa and BuyScout all now sell an AI that transacts, and Meta ships its own Business Agent that recommends from a catalog and closes sales.
