How to delete your data
Anyone can ask Difae Research to erase the data AiBayya holds about them, at no cost and without an account. Which route to use depends on who you are: a shopper who messaged a store on WhatsApp, or a merchant who signed up. Both are below, along with exactly what gets erased, the few things that are kept and why, and how long it takes. Requests are handled by a person and confirmed in writing when they are done.

First, the quicker fix: stopping messages
If the goal is simply to stop receiving messages, deletion is not needed. Reply STOP in the WhatsApp chat. That opt-out is recorded immediately and permanently, and excludes the number from every promotional message and broadcast from that store from then on. Order updates about a purchase already made may still arrive, because they are about that order rather than marketing.
Deletion is different: it erases the record of the conversation itself. Choose it if that is what you want.
If you are a shopper who messaged a store
The conversation belongs to the store you messaged. They are its controller and we hold it for them, so either route below works.
- Ask the store directly. Tell the business you messaged that you want your chat history and details deleted. They can act on it from their own dashboard.
- Or write to us at privacy@difaeresearch.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Include the WhatsApp number you messaged from and the name of the store you messaged. Send it from a channel we can tie to that number, or be ready to confirm the request from the number itself, so we do not delete someone's data on a stranger's say-so.
If you are a merchant closing an account
Uninstalling the app or disconnecting your number stops the service but deliberately does not erase your data, because merchants reinstall and losing an order history to a mis-click would be worse than keeping it. To erase it, ask.
- Write from the email address on the account to privacy@difaeresearch.com, naming the store. Requests from the account address need no further proof of identity.
- Revoke our access at the source too. Removing the app from your WhatsApp Business Account in Meta Business Settings, and from your store platform, cuts off access independently of anything we do. You do not have to take our word for it.
What gets erased
- The conversation and every message in it, in both directions.
- The customer record: phone number, WhatsApp profile name, and opt-out flag.
- Carts, and the order records we hold for that customer.
- For a merchant account: store details, connection credentials, portal login, catalog, automation settings, broadcasts, and every conversation belonging to the store.
What is kept, and why
Three things survive a deletion request, and it is fairer to say so than to discover it later.
- Billing and tax records. Invoices and payment records are kept for the period the law requires. They identify the business, not the shopper's conversation.
- Copies held by other parties. WhatsApp itself holds the chat on the phones of both participants and on Meta's systems, and your store platform keeps its own order records. Neither is ours to erase. Delete the chat in WhatsApp for the phone copy, and ask the store platform for theirs.
- Anonymous counts. Aggregate totals with no personal data in them, such as how many conversations happened in a month, remain in usage records.
How long it takes
Requests are acknowledged within 5 working days and completed within 30 days, which is the GDPR limit and our own ceiling rather than the usual case. When it is done you get written confirmation of what was erased. If we ever need longer, or have to refuse part of a request because of the exceptions above, we will tell you why within the same 30 days.
Send requests to privacy@difaeresearch.com.
